I’m here!!
Last Saturday, my family and I flew into Maui and had the most special time together before they sent me off and said goodbye on the Big Island. I checked in to YWAM Thursday, checked out where I’ll be living, met my roommates and even fit in an ocean swim. Friday was full of long orientations but ended with a fun family luau and powerful night of worship! Having my parents and Chad here is such a blessing and has made the transition alot easier. They left this morning before the whole Ships program (about 100 of us) drove out to a gorgeous beach for bonding and a BBQ. I already love my two roommates (pictured below), Amanda the Aussie and Abby from Washington, and have met incredible people from all over the world – Finland, South Africa, Norway, Holland, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Guinea – I cannot wait to get to know! Its crazy how many stories, perspectives, lifestyles, and hometowns fit into our little team of 24! There is so much to learn and see, places to go and people to serve here, I am already understanding why God called me to Hawaii! Thank you so much for all your prayers to get me here, the year has officially begun!!
